The last twenty five years of my life have been spent working on motion picture projects ranging from large scale studio feature films to minuscule intimate documentaries. During that time I have been awarded for my work as both a cinematographer as well as a still photographer. I have developed a deep love for the art of still photography. Many photographers have influenced me, the ones that come to mind immediately are Berenice Abbott for her classic formal work, Eugene Atget for his tireless documentation of the streets of Paris, the playful, sometimes outrageous documentary work of Gary Winogrand and the colorful worlds of Philip-Lorca diCorcia. Recently my love of vintage camera gear came full circle when I happened upon Berenice Abbott’s last camera.
